Getting tired of Tokyo? GET OUT!...and explore one of the amazing day trips from the city. Here are the 5 best day trips you can take from Tokyo 🇯🇵👀👇🏻 📍Chichibu: One for the nature lover’s out there. The Chichibu region is filled with mountains, rivers and stunning rustic Japan scenery all around. It can easily be reached from Ikebukuro with a Seibu express train in around 1.5 hours. Highly recommended if you want to experience unspoiled nature away from crowds. 📍Kawaguchiko: Kawaguchiko is the best spot to see Mt. Fuji in Japan. This lake has tons of amazing Fuji viewpoints and while touristy, it's big enough to where you can get away from the crowds easily. It also acts as a jumping point to the other 4 Fuji lakes, all of which see way fewer tourists. 📍Yokohama: Yokohama is Japan’s 2nd biggest city located right next to Tokyo and is often overlooked as a travel destination. The most famous spot here is definitely Chinatown with tons of delicious food and a great atmosphere. Another staple is the cup noodle museum, definitely a fun experience worth checking out. And lastly, I would also highly recommend checking out the Sankei-en gardens, one of the most beautiful landscape gardens in Japan, especially in fall. 📍Hakone: Located at the western edge of Kanagawa prefecture next to Tokyo, Hakone is a stunning natural area filled with hot springs, mountains and a massive lake, which you can cross via the famous pirate ship. It can feel touristy at times especially during fall seasons but it’s still definitely worth checking out. If you are up for it, there is a hike that takes you around Lake Ashi as well that sees virtually no people but is very beginner friendly. 📍Kamakura /Enoshima: And last but not least we have Kamakura/Enoshima. I have talked often enough about this spot so feel free to check out some of my other videos for spots to check out here but it is an amazing area to see for sure and absolutely HAS TO be on your Japan itinerary. 2-WEEK JAPAN ITINERARY 🇯🇵‼️ — TOKYO: 5 days There are so many cities to visit each with their own unique character and fun things to do. My favourite spots are Harajuku, Ueno and Asakusa for the shopping, food and vibes. — LAKE KAWAGUCHIKO (Mt Fuji): 1 day I highly recommend hiring a car to drive around Lake Kawaguchiko. You’ll find amazing views of Mt Fuji here! — KYOTO: 3 days My favourite city of this trip! I would definitely visit for longer the next time I’m in Japan. I love the mix of the traditional with the city-life and I had an amazing day exploring Arashiyama. There is so much more to do there than just visiting the bamboo forest. Be sure to visit Kiyomizu-dera and Fushimi Inari Shrine too. — OSAKA: 4 days Everytime i’m in Osaka, I shop and eat so much. Exploring Dotonbori’s vibrant street is a must. Make sure to check out the iconic signage, shopping alleys, amazing street food and hidden restaurants. No Osaka trip is complete without visiting Universal Studios to see Super Nintendo World and Hogwarts too! — NARA: 1 day You can’t visit Japan without taking a day trip to see the deers which are so cute and fun to feed.
